At the annual meeting in October of 2001, Public Advocate Mark Green (center, standing in front of microphone stand) speaks to the audience with Alexander Wood seen, pictured left of Mark Green. Standing off to the right is Joel Ziev. It was at this time that Mark Green was a New York City mayoral candidate. He had announced that on that day (October 7, 2001), there was a terrorist alert in New York City, and that the Queensborough Bridge was being closed to traffic.
