On the podium stood Councilwoman Margarita Lopez (pictured on far left side) holding a microphone while speaking to the audience at the 504 Democratic Club twentieth anniversary dinner. To the right stood a female sign language interpreter addressing the audience along with Lopez's words. As stated from the ABLE News, Lopez was honored for her many accomplishments on the council, including the establishment of a full standing committee on disability services.
